Not such a good pub to arrange to meet people. It’s like a rabbit’s warren. Lots of confusing little bars interconnected by random sets of staircases – think if the Elves in Lord of the Rings gave up their forest dwellings and opened a pub and you have a pretty good idea of the inside of Waxy’s.
Definitely an interesting pub: good selection of beers on tap, big sections of the pub available for hire as it seems to have five or six different levels, assuming there’s no more I haven’t discovered yet.
Decent food menu, by no means the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive in town. Handy if you’re early for your train from Queen Street Station, or bored with shopping in Buchanan Galleries.
