Times Square is a decent pub, though it feels like it’s trying too hard to be a quaint little boozer when it’s far too big and well run to pull off the informal atmosphere. You can tell it’s a pub with managers and supervisors, not publicans.
That said, it’s unique, distinctive and popular amongst the city’s office workers for its relaxed and friendly atmosphere away from the louder pubs nearer the centre of town. It’s a good place to get reasonably priced food and handy for both the subway and shopping at the St Enoch Centre at the opposite side of the square.
